Hail swordbrothers!
We are really happy cause the first reviews and cooments are really enthusiastic about our new album. The album is not out yet in all countries but the feedback we get is simply amazing!! Here follows parts from some of the reviews we got so far, thanks to all for the kind words see you soon on stage!
Metal Mark
The changes in the riffs just in the opening minute or so of each song is quite impressive. Yet it's as much about heaviness and clarity as it is about speed and amount of riffs. I may be stating the obvious, but a number bands forget about how important a good heavy riff is, but this band obviously bases their whole foundation on those riffs and it's a strong foundation. Battleroar have marched forth a real heavy metal album in the classic sense of those terms. It's certainly an effort that's going satisfy those fans who savor solid, pounding metal with strong, forceful vocals.
Morning Star
Τι να πρωτοαναφέρω; Τις νέες απίστευτες φωνητικές γραμμές που ακολουθεί ο Marco στο "Metal from Hellas"; Τις τρομερές μελωδίες στα "The Wrathforge" και "Dragonhelm"; Τη μοναδική έμπνευση να χρησιμοποιήσουν βιολί στα "Finis Mundi" και "Oceans of Pain"; Όλο το album κυλάει από την αρχή έως το τέλος σαν νεράκι και μετά... repeat!
Metal invader
There are plenty of songs included in this album that would become classics in the band's musical history. Death before Disgrace could be marked as one of their best compositions so far. Listen to its brilliant lead guitar themes, pay attention to the magnificent vocal approaching by Marco Concoreggi –that has managed to build a great voice-, turn the volume louder and let the hammering rhythm parts to fill the air and you would understand my point. Close your eyes and enjoy the acoustic parts of oceans of pain and get prepared for battler under the sound of Dragonhelm and taking us a fact that you are always thirst for more Steel it seems that Battleroar have written the track that would be your head banging hymn on the forthcoming drunk nights: Born In The 70s.
In general the band now exploring even more Epic soundscapes composing mid tempo and pounding songs based on apocalyptic melodies, enforced by melodic lead guitar themes under a conquering rhythm section. The vocals of Marco are simply brilliant as I have already pointed and for those who are aware of the past of this great singer under his personal project Hyrkanian Blades there is a surprise awaiting which is no other than the same titled Hyrkanian Blades song under the Batlleroar moniker.
Rock report.be
Battleroar are custom made for those who still remember the great days of heavy metal in the 80's!
Electric requiem
Τα περισσότερα τραγούδια κινούνται σε up tempo ρυθμούς, με εξαίρεση τα "Finis Mundi" και "Oceans of Pain", που έχουν αυξομειώσεις στο ρυθμό και μεγαλύτερη διάρκεια.
Forgotten scroll
I'll be completely honest. Battleroar never quite did it for me up to now. Don't get me wrong, I liked their albums, especially the debut 7'', but I always found they lacked that special something that would make them go that extra mile from "good" to "great". Well I am more than happy to say that they've conquered their spot amongst the current epic metal elite, with their latest release "To death and beyond…"
Metal crypt
Battleroar continue to make leaps and bounds in their songwriting, and there remains no limit to their powers when they put it all together. Another monstrously powerful album from the best band in ..:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" />Greece. Do not miss it.
Vampire Magazine
Compared to "Age of Chaos", the new album sounds a lot more varied and heavier. Take for example the bridge in "Hyrkanian Blades" that raises the epic feel of the track by pressing on the gas just as a band like Cirith Ungol was able to do back in their prime days, or be sure to listen to the acoustic passage in "Oceans of Pain" that reminds of Manilla Road's "The Deluge" yet at the same time could pass for something from the 1973-1977 era of Hawkwind. At the same time, the album features a track like "Born in the Seventies" that is more hardrock orientated, so as you can read there is a large pool of influences that the band draws from.
Metal Zone
Το To Death And Beyond είναι ένα άμεσο album χωρίς περιττά πράγματα και χωρίς υπερβολές.
Pivotalliance
To Death And Beyond is a fantastic traditional power metal record in the tradition of Helloween, Demons And Wizards, Iron Maiden; the Ronnie James Dio fronted Black Sabbath and hints of Pagan Metal. The album has a very raw, energetic vibe circa 1984 with great vocals and colossal guitar work. There are some great epic tracks; "The Wrathforge" and "Oceans Of Pain" being the standout tracks. Battleroar are hands downs (or horns up) the best band out of Greece this side of Firewind.
Metallinks.nl
Now back for the songs as I meantioned above the play metal in the vein of bands like Manowar and Jag Panzer and after hearing the whole album a couple of times in a row I can't say that their are any weak songs on this album listen to songs like "Metal From Hellas" (very Manowar like) and "Warlords Of Mars"and you will know that this is a Heavy Metal just like a good Heavy Metal cd must sound like

Parte kai ena allo review pou eklasa sto gelio eidika me to teleytaio simeio.. BATTLEROAR - TO DEATH AND BEYOND... (9 track CD) CRUZ DEL SUR MUSIC BATTLEROAR play a very tight, technical & well structured style of Epic Power Metal. The music has much depth & originality to it. The music just keeps getting more & more triumph as it rolls on. You truly feel as you are on the battle field headed into victory. I really like this style of Power Metal a lot, it gives off strong vibes & really captures you. It actually demands your attention. There are some strong Thrash Metal elements present in the crunchy chugging guitar parts. The vocals are strong, powerful & melodic on many levels. These guys should be bigger than they are, which they will be soon. For fans of BLIND GAURDIAN, RHAPSODY, DRAGONFORCE, DIO, HLLOWEEN & LUCA TURILLI!
