I have been following this Finnish band since their early years (remember The Coven)? I have listened every single release they have done and after all I am able to compare them. Well I can assure you for this thing: What was an early tribute band to Reverend Bizarre is now transformed to a passionate Doom Metal act having managed to build a sound of their own WITHOUT leaving behind their influences from early Traditional Doom Metal and early NWOBHM bands. Their riffing, the wild electric leads and the obscure atmosphere of their stuff is the three pieces of the puzzle that will make to worship this band. By listening the 10 minute long “Blood Axis Raiders” from their latest “Orthodox faces” EP you would of course agree to my point no matter if you are a band follower or not.

For those addicted to Pentagram, Witchfinder General and Pentagram this is the ideal stuff. It comes in great production that provides their stuff with even more power and yes it would do no justice to the band if I would not refer to great digipack packaging of their EP: it is great and it proves the full dedication of the band to their sinister art. Big labels are unable to provide such great packaging like the one of this self financed EP. All hail Cardinals Folly!
