I know that you are still in the quest for some high quality Metal. Do not search to far my friends. Agnosia from Greece got a magnificent album for you to check out. The band delivers melodic and emotional Progressive Metal that IS complex and technical but STILL carries a magical melodic touch.
Eleven tracks are included in here plus a bonus remake of the “Broken Memories” track from their 2003 “The Inner Conflict” demo. Those who paid much attention to this demo back then have already shaped the image of this band into their minds. Their talent, their inspiration and their musical skills were notable back then. Of course the album takes the band a million years of light away from the demo but the talent, the inspiration, the spirit, is still there. Trace Decay presents a band that is inspired by the classic US Prog Metal giants (Fates Warning –Inside Out era-, Dream Theater -Images And Words Era-) letting the European Prog spirit as it was presented on the Entropia debut by Swedish Pain Of Salvation to provide them with a great spell of inspiration as well. Meanwhile they are letting various other Metal influences to flow inside, completing their surrealistic musical puzzle. So do not ask yourself “what is happening n here” if you notice the band to crush serious heads becoming faster and more powerful (Mekong Delta rules is that right guys?)… At the end of the day what really excited me on this album is the emotion of the music: when it becomes dark and mysterious, when it gets even more electrified and passionate, when it is converted to a strange a beautiful trip. Listen this album again and again you will notice that the band has really worked hard on every single second of it. And it will be a new little treasure for you to discover in the next riff, the next melody, the next breaking, the next vocal line… and on the next listening this treasure will be different.
