Revelation - For The Sake Of No One - Shadow Kingdom Records - 2009 [ CD ]
If there is a band out there that for sure knows how to compose inspired and hellish heavy Doom Metal this is no other than Revelation from Baltimore, Maryland, USA. I would need thousands of thousands of words to mention the whole Revelation legacy and this review is actually about their new masterpiece called “For The Sake Of No One”, so lets focus on it, right?

Seven new tracks we got in here brought to you by the Brenner, Hall, Branagan line up. Seven tracks of total Doom Metal the Revelaiton way. That means tombstone heavy riffing, long ecstatic melodies and a darker than black atmosphere that only Revelation are able to deliver through their music.

The album is based in simpler and straight forward structures, it somehow lacks the Progressive touch of albums like Never comes Silence and Yet So Far but this fact is not pointed as a negative one, simply because the stuff of the new album brings the sound of revelation back into its roots.

With several pickups like A Matter Of Days, Canyons, he Whisper Stream and -my favorite track form the whole album- Vigil. Well I for sure can point that this album can be easily put next to the classic releases of those Doom masters.

Time for some Doom Metal guys.. Go for it…
