JACK STARR’S BURNING STARR was created in 1985, one year after Jack recorded the solo album “Out Of The Darkness”, and two years after he left the band VIRGIN STEELE which he founded in 1981. BURNING STARR existed as a band from 1985 to 1990, and the band came back using that name in 2009, and recorded bunch of well received albums such as “Defiance”, “Land Of The Dead” and “Stand Your Ground”.

In the Metal community, the name BURNING STARR was thought of highly and connected to a lot of great albums like “No Turning Back!” or “Blaze Of Glory”. The same titled album is the last one made by BURNING STARR before they came back in 2009. The album had been out of print for almost 25 years and, copies of it which are referred to as the “Orange Album” (for the color of the original album cover) have been selling sometimes for as much as 200 dollars a copy on Ebay. The “Orange Album” was the best produced of all the early BURNING STARR albums, and finally the band was working with a good studio budget, top engineers and producers, and also at the same time there were many new advances in studio technology, which helped to make the sound better.
