In many cases we come across some musical stuff that we simply cannot explain the reason that is so attractive to us. The same goes for the stuff of this 12”.

Each track of the two included in it, magnetizes the listener and drives everyone that would have the chance to check this stuff out, to a magical metal journey, for one more time! (How many times have we made this great journey under the sound of so many metal diamonds of the past?).

Well the track of the first side of this ultra rare 12” called “I am Future” and I would describe it as heavy progressive metal. The “progressive” description is used here into a -correct- way in order to express the special personality of the music that makes it a little more complex but still heavy and melodic.

Moving to the next side we will discover the second same titled track that is simply a great heavy metal opus. I would point to this track as one of my favorite heavy metal tunes in general. Just listen to its main riff, its chorus, its rhythm section and you will understand what I am talking about. Just check out the great vocals, that is one of the strongest features of this band and you will for sure agree with me that here we have another metal diamond.

I breathe for music. And I am more than sure that my mission in this universe is to make everybody agree that "Awaken The Guardian" by FATES WARNING is the best album ever released, yes in all musical genres. My next mission is to feed homeless cats and when I am not busy with all this stuff I listen to US Prog / Power and Epic Doom Metal. And I cast spells in rituals in order to awake the old ones. After my subscription to the "Happy Otters" team on Facebook.

I guess that for the readers of Forgotten Scroll, ETERNAL CHAMPION from Austin, Texas, US, need no special introduction. Their β€œArmor of Ire” debut is already identified as a classic on the Epic Metal genre. They are about to march into battle again, releasing a second album called "Ravening Iron", so yes, this is a good chance for a discussion with the band's singer Jason Tarpey.
