This is STYGIAN OATH‘s debut mini CD on Stormspell Records and I can assure you that you should be prepared for a massive blast of Classic Heavy Metal by this amazing Greek band.

Influences from JUDAS PRIEST, ACCEPT, IRON MAIDEN, and SAVATAGE are mixed together on a very solid and storm-taking Heavy Metal result. I would even discover some doom (eg. CANDLEMASS) touches here and there and this is another (of course) positive feature on their sound.

Everything starts from the good riffing and it is obvious that in here you would be able to here some amazing riffs. The extra guitar melodies and leads by Haris Vavalidis would complete the guitar wall of sound (by the way check Haris work on his previous ATRIA MORTIS band, I gave their “The Samurai” demo a lot of spins when it was released back in 2006 and still is a favorite pick when it comes to Greek Heavy Metal), while Panos Tsartsalis on bass and Apostolos Tzotzis on drums build the ideal, solid rhythm section. Turn the volume a little louder and feel the hammering!

Classic Heavy Metal delivered by Metalheads for Metalheads. If this is the sound you are into, then support this great debut. No more excuses are needed.

I breathe for music. And I am more than sure that my mission in this universe is to make everybody agree that "Awaken The Guardian" by FATES WARNING is the best album ever released, yes in all musical genres. My next mission is to feed homeless cats and when I am not busy with all this stuff I listen to US Prog / Power and Epic Doom Metal. And I cast spells in rituals in order to awake the old ones. IDOL THRONE Interview

IDOL THRONE have recently released an album that has made a great impression in metal community, even greater than their debut ''The Sibylline Age''. The sophomore album is called ''A Clarion Call'' and it is destined to establish their name as an emerging and dynamic power in the worlwide heavy metal scene.  Forgotten Scroll feels great pleasure to welcome Jason Schultz, who is one of the two IDOL THRONE's guitarists and an excellent songwriter.
