Five years after their March of the Damned EP shook the Lordian Guard / Warlord faithful epic metal audience to its very core, BLACK SWORD THUNDER ATTACK descend upon the scene once again with a brand new single.
Aptly titled The Black Sword the track is every bit of what makes BLACK SWORD THUNDER ATTACK great; the heavy Bill Tsamis influence in the songwriting and guitar work, presented in an authentic yet original way. The nods to Lordian Guard’s original dungeon-esque production, especially palpable in Mareike’s Vidonne – like vocals, that give the band that ethereal quality, and of course Mareike herself. It’s all there.
The single is accompanied by an album announcement; BLACK SWORD THUNDER ATTACK will release its first full – length, self – titled album on April 25, 2025. Once you listen to The Black Sword, I’m certain you’ll agree: April can’t come soon enough.
