I am sure that this reissue will make many people smile. Especially those into high quality Melodic Hard Rock / AOR. And the very special target group among them that spends quite a valuable amount of time -and money- collecting obscure releases from the above genres.

Well, yes, it is happening: “The Power of Money”, the second, “lost” full length by MARCHELLO from New York, US will be reissued on CD including lots of bonus tracks!

A brilliant mixture of AOR, Hard Rock and guitar shredding Melodic Metal featuring the virtuoso guitarist and singer Gene Marchello. Recorded back in 1991 but never released on time. A real masterpiece, highly demanded by fans and collectors worldwide not just because of its “lost” status, but because it is an amazing melodic Hard Rock / Metal album.

We were actually waiting for this as Arkeyn Steel Records have reissued the “Destiny” debut and had actually announced this one as well. Yes in fact the wait is over. And I have to tell you that this second full length by MARCHELLO pretty much follows the very same path of the debut: Great songwriting, amazing performances, blazing solos and an amazing production. You can’t go wrong with MARCHELLO stuff, for sure!

There is even a deeper diving into the MARCHELLO history taking place in here, as the Arkeyn Steel Records reissue features bonus tracks from the 1985-1986 demo session -produced by the legendary Bob Kulick-. Updated artwork -by Kostas Athanasoglou– plus lyrics and photos complete the package.

The whole MARCHELLO reissue project was supervised by Giles Lavery, the current singer of the mighty WARLORD, who also does some serious work in the music business worldwide. Giles has also written the liner notes included in the reissue: Some never heard before stories and valuable information are revealed in the booklet liner notes for the very first time.

I have to point that everything is remastered from scratch so get ready for a great audio experience with this one.

MARCHELLO was a phenomenal band, at least that is what is said by everyone that has witnessed their shows back in New York’s rock ‘n’ roll days of the late 80s. The Arkeyn Steel Records reissue series gives everyone the chance to discover or rediscover the band’s brilliant music!

I breathe for music. And I am more than sure that my mission in this universe is to make everybody agree that "Awaken The Guardian" by FATES WARNING is the best album ever released, yes in all musical genres. My next mission is to feed homeless cats and when I am not busy with all this stuff I listen to US Prog / Power and Epic Doom Metal. And I cast spells in rituals in order to awake the old ones.
