What would you expect as a final musical result of such a cooperation? I guess that you would expect a bunch of deep and atmospheric prog rock compositions right?
Perhaps you would think that the songs would balance between a traveling mood -that would bring into the foreground the 70s prog rock vibe- and a most modern approaching that would generate beautiful esoteric and dark colored soundscapes…
Perhaps you would wait for a little bit of experimental touch in some parts of the songs right? At the end of the day prog was always about new sonic adventures…
All your expectations are fulfilled under this magnificent project that brings together different vibes, styles and eras of prog rock music, combined on a solid result.
THE SEA WITHIN got their own musical personality generated by each and every influence that each and every member would bring on the puzzle. And their debut album is absolutely worth checking, thanks to the adventurous, dark shaded and melancholic songs that it contains in most of its part. Songs that are waiting to be discovered… Ok there are some pieces of light here and there but its finding is a part of your music quest within this record.
I am stuck in this album. I guess that the same will happen to you.
