Christian (or white) metal is a very tricky and risky case in the field of heavy metal. Thousands of bands and millions of records, but the quality is highly questionable in most of the cases by the fans.
UNIAO is a power metal band from Brazil and βScream on the Crossβ was its first and only full-length album in 2003 with Christian background in the lyrics. The band is very melodic, the keyboards, whenever used, add a soft progressive –ANGRA-like- touch to the band, but most of all, the level of quality of the compositions is high and the tracks are catchy.
βScream on the Crossβ is a very good choice for those who miss the power metal scene of the 90s and it sounds extremely fresh even today.
