After two years of silence, the mighty TRIUMPHER is back. The Hellenic epic heavy metal outfit returns with Black Blood, the first single for its upcoming (as of right now still untitled) third album, coming on March 6th, 2026. Following two outstandingly strong albums; 2023’s Storming the Walls and 2024’s Spirit Invictus, the band seems to have kept its forward momentum intact.
Black Blood carries more of what we have come to cherish from TRIUMPHER: the song is bonafide epic metal, in the vein of Manowar’s grandiose gravitas. At the same time, the band continues to incorporate black metal elements, both musically and aesthetically as one can tell by the video that accompanies the single. TRIUMPHER has never been shy about its influences after all. This concoction of blackened epicness definitely breeds some call backs to Primordial, as well as Bathory’s Viking metal era.
If this is a sign for things to come, we are probably looking at another touchdown by one of the most prolific forces in epic metal today.
