Up The Hammers Festival announced that HEIR APPARENT had to cancel their appearance due to singer Will Shaw leaving the band earlier this month. The spot will be filled by RIOT ACT, a band created by former RIOT guitarists Lou Kouvaris and Rick Ventura.
Here’s the statement that went out earlier:
Unfortunately we have to cancel again the appearance of Heir apparent in Up the hammers festival. Singer Will Shaw left the band and the future of Heir Apparent relies taking the time necessary to find a new singer, the band deeply regret not being able to perform next year. We are extremely happy to announce RIOT ACT from NY. RIOT ACT is a new band formed by the two legendary RIOT guitarists Lou Kouvaris and Rick Ventura. The band will perform an amazing set full of RIOT songs from the golden early days keeping the old school sound alive! Up the hammers festival will be their first ever European show and we expect it to be one of the greatest performances in our festival ever!
